This is another photo I snapped on the hike up to Mt. LeConte. It is a red squirrel. This photo actually makes it look a lot larger than it actually is.
The nickname for these animals is mountain boomers because they are so noisy.
Whoa- that is an amazing pic. I clicked on it to view it full screen and you can see every single hair on his tail- just too cool. And the color is amazing.
