What lies beneath

Some of you may or may not know that South Carolina is allowing a alligator hunting season for the first time in decades.

A Summerville man by the name of Mark Merting, took a 12ft. 2" gator on Santee Cooper's Lake Moultrie on the season opening weekend. Merting and a friend were in a 13.5ft. jon-boat!

On Easter weekend, Lisa, myself and two good friends, spent some time on the Ashley River and the weekend on the Edisto River kayaking and camping in tree houses. On the Ashley, some other kayakers stated that a "gator" was sunning himself just upriver, we all paddled up to see it to no avail.
Oh well, I thought, we should see one on the Edisto this weekend....

Suffice it to say, if I had seen something the likes of this, an MI would have gotten me well before the gator had the chance and my "friends" would have used my corpse to distract the gator while they made a hasty get away. :)

Season runs through Oct. 11th.

Only if we had seen an Alli like that, the results would not have been pretty......The smell from the seat of our pants would have turned her the other way,BEFORE your MI,therefor no corpse to leave behind!
