Peachtree Rock

Peachtree Rock is located in the mid-lands of South Carolina and is Co-managed by the S.C. Dept. of Natural Resources, and The Nature Conservancy. This area is protected and preserved because has the largest samples of soapstone in the state. Also, the only waterfall in the coastal plain is located within this Heritage preserve.
We hiked the area last weekend, and the outcroppings are really impressive. This site also has several quality geocaches located within its boundaries. The mosquitos are large and plentiful as well.

This is however, is a great place for a day hike, and some geocaching.

Trail map can be found here.
