In the garden..

While cleaning leaf debris out from around my azaleas, I found this beautiful Red Salamander. I was really surprised because while we see Carolina Anole and the Eastern Fence Lizard daily, it is rare for us to see salamanders.

A couple of days later, this Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly was in or vegetable garden. This is such a beautiful butterfly. The larva of this species feeds on the PawPaw Tree, and we do not have one on our property, so there must be one nearby.
