Just a wee bit different!

We enjoy visiting regional breweries.  We have visited many, but I have not written about any of our visits.  My intent is for this to be the first post of many regarding our numerous regional craft beer breweries.

While on a recent day trip to Asheville, we were able to mark off another must visit Brewery.
Highlands Brewery in Asheville NC.  This year, Highland Brewery is celebrating its 20th year anniversary.  Highland was Asheville's first legal brewery.  Starting out, the brewery used re-tooled, dairy equipment.   This is one of the nicest tasting rooms we have visited.   The flight boards are amazing, and the bartenders very friendly and knowledgeable.

Highlands Tasting room.
What a entrance!

Once inside, we decided to have a flight.  This flight includes their five flagship beers, and one small batch beer of your choice.   The five flagship brews are:  Gaelic Ale,  St.Teresa's Pale Ale, Kashmir IPA,  Thunderstruck Coffee Porter, and Black Mocha Stout.  A amazing line up! The Porter is my favorite on the flight.

About to take flight!

While there, we toasted to our 1400th Geocache!

Cheers!
