Edisto River : Kayaking & Treehouse Camping.

Photobucket
We spent our Easter weekend with friends on an overnight kayaking trip on the Edisto River. The Edisto is the longest free flowing blackwater river in the United States, and it is beautiful!

We put in the river at Whetstone Landing just above river mile maker 104. We paddled down the river enjoying the sights and sounds of wildlife. We were able to see the elusive Pileated Woodpecker, and a very rare Swallowtail Kite. We will report the Kite sighting near river mile 99. Around river mile 92, we located our tree houses, and it was a near miss as we turned sharp left and paddled against the strong current of a strainer to get to the take out for the tree houses.

Darkness came along with a campfire, a hammock, and a spectacular light show from the hundreds of lighting bugs, to a chorus from a hoot owl in the night.
Up early on a cold morning, and after a hot breakfast, back out on the river for the remaining 10 mile paddle.

Hey- cool site, this is Luke with Coastal Expeditions and Carolina Heritage Outfitters in Charleston South Carolina. I was wondering if you would be willing to share your photos from the Edisto River with us for potential use on our website and/or in marketing materials. Also, if I could use a qoute from y'all about your experience. I would be happy to extend a gift cert for one free adult one night treehouse or other Coastal kayaking trip for your efforts. Look foward to hearing from you. Thanks Luke @ Lukepc2@gmail.com

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of
plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of unique content I've either authored myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement. Do you know any solutions to help protect against content from being ripped off? I'd definitely
appreciate it.

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming
having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% sure.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

Hey there! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with
SEO? I'm trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I'm not seeing very good gains.
If you know of any please share. Many thanks!

My developer is trying to convince me to move to .

net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of
the expenses. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using Movable-type on a number of websites for about
a year and am concerned about switching to another platform.
I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.net.
Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into
it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
